Old is gold: Rohan Bopanna claims title at 43
Rohan Bopanna is wearing age with the aplomb of an invincibility cloak. At 43, the champion at Indian Wells, California alongside Aussie Matt Ebden, the Bangalorean became the oldest ever ATP Masters winner. Bopanna and Ebden, unseeded in the event they call the fifth Slam, upset the top-seeds Weseley Koolhof and Neal Skupski 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 to take the title in the early hours of Sunday. Bopanna, who’ll move to No.11 in the rankings on Monday, is the oldest player in the top-100 of the ATP individual doubles.
