IPL media rights: Disney gets TV, Viacom digital; Times Internet gets overseas rights

With a winning bid of Rs 23,758 crore, Reliance Industries' (RIL) Viacom 18 not only bagged the digital media rights for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for India and overseas — in conjunction with Times Internet — but also beat the winning amount for the TV telecast rights, which went to Disney Star for Rs 23,575 crore.
